FAQs

-FAQs-
Q: How do I get an estimate?
A: We like to have you call us or email pictures to us first so we can provide preliminary pricing to make sure our services are in line with your budget. If it looks like we may work together, then we come do an on site estimate. You can email your pictures and specs to us here.

Q: How long does the process take?
A: For most jobs we’re on site for 1-2 weeks, off and on. Some of the work is done in our shops (refinishing doors and drawer fronts, manufacturing new cabinets, etc.).

Q: Can you paint my cabinets if they’re currently stained?
A: More times than not our customers want to change the look from a stained to a painted finish. We can go stain to stain, stain to paint, and in many cases, paint to stain.

Q: Do I have to empty my cabinets?
A: Yes.

Q: Do you do countertops?
A: No.

Q: Can you change the door fronts and drawer heads?
A: Yes. Options for changing your cabinets include refinishing, refacing, or we offer Watzcraft products so you can choose new ones for us to custom finish and install if you want a change.

Q: Do you also make repairs to my cabinets?
A: Yes. We can fill gouges, repair dings, replace broken pieces and drawer runners, install new hardware, and even manufacture new cabinets if you want to add on. Share your ideas, we’ll work to make it happen.

Q: Should I have new counter tops and floors done first?
A: It really doesn’t matter. If they’re done first, we’ll be careful to make sure they’re not damaged. If you have your cabinets done first you’ll have to ensure the other trades are cautious about the newly finished cabinets.

Q: What other type of work can you do?
A: Build soffits, add crown molding, add accents, modify cabinets, replace or add lazy susans and custom pull-outs, and more.

Q: Do you only do kitchen cabinets?
A: No, we work on all cabinets and built ins at your house or office.

Q: Can you paint my cabinets?
A: More times than not our customers want to change the look from a stained to a painted finish. We can go stain to stain, stain to paint, and in many cases, paint to stain.

Q: Can you make modifications to my existing layout?
A: We sure can. If you have large changes to make we have a licensed contractor that we work with. Minor changes we handle in house.

Q: Can you replace my hardware?
A: Yes, we can install your hardware, or you can order some new ones through us.

Q: Do you offer specialty pull outs?
A: Absolutely. Ask to see our supplier’s catalog.

Q: Do you travel to my area?
A: We typically travel about an hour out from the Worcester, MA area. If you would like us to travel further we can discuss accommodations.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: Every job is different so there is no easy answer. If you email photos or call with a description of what you’re trying to get the cabinets to look like we can give you a ballpark price. We’ll quickly know if the services we offer meet your budget and we’ll proceed from there.

Q: How do we pay for our job?
A: We require a 50% deposit to schedule and commence the job, with the balance due on the last day of the job. All quoted prices are based on cash or check payment and reflect that 3% discount. If you want to pay by credit card please add the 3% back on to the cost of the job.

Q: Are you licensed and insured?
A: Licensing is not required for our trade, but we are fully insured. However, if your project does require extensive carpentry we have a licensed contractor who we trust and partner with.
