Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I get an estimate?
A: Call us or email us with pictures so we can provide preliminary pricing. This ensures that our services are in-line with your budget. If it looks like we could work together, then we’ll complete an on-site estimate. You can email your pictures and specs to us here.
Q: How long does the process take?
A: For most jobs, only 6-8 business days. Some of the work is done in our shops (refinishing doors and drawer fronts, manufacturing new cabinets, etc.), so we disrupt your life as little as possible.
Q: Can you paint my cabinets if they're currently stained?
A: More often than not, our customers want to change their cabinet look from stained to painted. We can update your cabinets from stain to stain; stain to paint; and, in many cases, paint to stain.
Q: Do I have to empty my cabinets?
A: Yes.
Q: Do you do countertops?
A: No.
Q: Can you change the door fronts and drawer heads?
A: Yes. Options for changing include refinishing, painting, or replacing with brand new. We offer Watzcraft products, which allow you to choose a custom design. If you're looking to keep the same design we can ship one of your existing doors or drawer fronts to them to have matching replacements manufactured.
Q: Do you also make repairs to my cabinets?
A: Yes. We can fill gouges, repair dings, replace broken pieces and drawer runners, install new hardware, and even manufacture new cabinets if you want to add on. Share your ideas with us and we’ll work to make it happen.
Q: Should I have new countertops and floors done first?
A: It really doesn’t matter. If they’re done first, we’ll be careful to make sure they’re not damaged. If you have your cabinets done first, you’ll have to ensure the other trades are cautious about the newly finished cabinets.
Q: What other type of work can you do?
A: Build soffits, add crown molding, add accents, modify cabinets, replace or add lazy-susans and custom pull-outs, and more.
Q: Do you only do kitchen cabinets?
A: No, we work on all cabinets and built-ins at your house or office.
Q: Can you replace my hardware?
A: Yes, we can install your hardware, or you can order new hardware through us.
Q: Do you offer specialty pull-outs?
A: Absolutely. Ask to see our supplier’s catalog.
Q: Do you travel to my area?
A: We typically travel about an hour out from the Worcester, MA area. If you would like us to travel further, we can discuss accommodations.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Every job is different so there is no easy answer. If you email photos or call us with a description of what you’re trying to get the cabinets to look like we can give you a ballpark price. We’ll quickly know if the services we offer meet your budget and we’ll proceed from there.
Q: How do we pay for our job?
A: We accept cash and checks.
